Here's Lookin' At You, Kid.

I... I don't think this was meant to be terrifying.

And I don't think it is meant to look like an old, wrinkled, six-fingered, naked Woody Allen, curled up in the fetal position and wearing a diaper whilst suffering from a bad case of pink eye and/or allergies, either. Or an emaciated, raw chicken that's been left out on the counter to marinate in hollandaise sauce alongside the leftovers of last night's baby pot roast in preparation for tonight's preemie-pot-pie. Or a hairless, albino chimpanzee named Snowball which has only recently been discovered locked up under the floorboards of the "fantasy room" at Neverland Ranch.

I'm sorry. That was all pretty inappropriate. This is actually a charming and not-in-the-least disturbing hand-made felt premature baby, currently for sale for $500 on Etsy. Warms the heart, really.

  1. Oh geez. This thing is disgusting. Why does it have an adult-sized nose? Why does it cost $500? What the heck is it made of? Oh, I need to go now. I'm ill.

  2. That doll thing...yikes! A truly disturbing thing to see this early in the morning. But I DO know just the person for it!

I bounced over here from Humor Bloggers. I dig your stuff. You are very funny.

  4. I have to tell you, I love your blog... at times I feel bad to laugh at the atrocious things that innocent people think are beautiful crafts or inspired works of art. I have never spent much time on Etsy, until reading your blog... I poked around and found some hilarious pictures!
By the way, I went back and read all of your posts, I was rolling on the floor, (well except for the posts about your tooth issues!).
I wish I had a picture of creepy Santa to add to your blog. Someone (who will remain nameless) gave him to us as a gift. He was hideous, and scary. This year we 'gave him away'... that's not entirely true, we actually strategically placed him down the road and around the corner so we could laugh at him every day as we drove past... about 5 days into it, he was gone. He was practically brand new, so we think someone kidnapped him to add to their creepy Santa collection, there could be no other explanation, right? :)

  5. Kathy - I didn't notice the 'adult sized nose' until you mentioned it in your comment, now I'm crying with laughter, this blog is THE best! and the comments are equally hysterical! A new place to come when I need a pick-me-up!
    Cheers all!

  6. aww, Michelle, you just almost brought a tear to my eye. If I were capable of experiencing emotions I expect I would be feeling quite mushy and warm at the moment. Thank you for such kind comments! And I'm glad you find these crapfts as funny as I do. It's nice to know someone else is tittering with me over some of these hideous mistakes!
And don't forget, if you have some funny pics, please feel free to email me with them. I always welcome submissions!

  9. Geez that is ugly and scary and I'm sure I'll have nightmares about it now. Dang. I've been lurking for a few days and finally am able to say something. I would have early but what else is there to say about the Alan Rickman mosaic?

  11. If you put one of those in every abortion clinic waiting room, Rowe and Wade would have to make up.

I want one of those in a jar! [hurls]

  12. I think the question really is, who would spend $500 for this thing?
